Q What is a sleep study? 


A A sleep study is a diagnostic evaluation of a possible sleep disorder. A sleep study, also called a polysomnogram (PSG), monitors several activities including brain wave, eye movements, muscle contractions, heart activity, breathing and blood oxygenation during sleep. The information collected in a sleep study is approximately 800 pages of data that has to be reviewed and analyzed by our sleep specialists, the results can take up to 2 weeks.
